May 7th, 2008 - CYCLONE NARGIS DEVASTATES BURMA
A deadly cyclone ravaged parts of Burma on May 2nd, 2008. Thousands are dead, thousands more are missing, and those lucky enough to survive are without basic necessities such as food and shelter. The SRF has set up a fund for direct relief to those affected by this devastation. Please visit the "How to Help" section on this website and click the Cyclone Nargis link for donation information.

Shan human rights workers have recently reported fresh atrocities by the Burmese Army against their people. These are not isolated incidents but part of an ongoing campaign of genocide by the Burmese military against the Karen, Karenni and Shan ethnic minorities.
